This month's project: edge and mulch one bed

Cut a clean edge along one flower bed with a flat spade, pull the weeds, and spread 2 to 3 inches of mulch, keeping it a few inches away from stems and trunks. It's an afternoon's work and makes the whole yard look cared for.
